Picture taken inside the Basilica San Pietro

The second day, we woke up early to go to the Vatican. The museum there is huge and very nice but we didn't have much time so we did everything quickly. We stopped in the Capella Sistina, which is very beautiful but there's little light inside, it's saddish. However, I bought the poster, like a big tourist. There's also a surprising modern art gallery which contains paintings of the Christ by... Dali. He was so controversial about religion... We did the Basilica San Pietro, we went up to the dome and then upon the dome (don't do it, it takes ages to go through very tiny stairs and you become claustrophobic, just to have a sight of Rome you can have from any mount around.)

We kept going with the Piazza del Popolo, the Chiesa dellà Trinita dei Monti, the Quirinale (home of the President of the Italian Republic - nothing fancy), Square of the Four Fountains, Piazza della Repubblica, and loads of small churches in between. There are loads of churches in this town and they are all beautiful. We also went by the Fountain of Trevi. We ended the journey by going to a restaurant which was not in our guide but was very good and very friendly.

Tomorrow, I'll tell you how I flirted an Italian guy.
