Here, they can't stop talking about the French riots, this is the first news they talk about on TV or on newspapers.
We were all aware but we didn't worry, we thought everything was alright for the moment and that it would keep on like that. But actually no, and it cracked. A big CRACK.
I met a French lady with her husband at Caffe Nero the other day and she was telling that she was shocked, given the life quality in France that such things happen. That she was an immigrant too and that she was integrated, that she didn't understand that behaviour and that Sarkozy should send them all to reformatories. On the other hand, her husband was saying it was the system's fault, because there is a real assistantship in France and that then, people don't bother looking for a job and thus, couldn't integrate.
It's obvious there is a real integration problem in France, but I don't think reformatories are the solution. They asked me what I thought about it and I didn't know what to say. The situation looks so intricate and I so don't know anything about politics that I can't say anything but : "Burning cars is bad !" and "We have to do something !" or : "No, I don't wanna lose my social cover !"

Some people hate Sarkozy and I don't know why, I still don't know what he did that was so wrong (please remember I don't know anything about politics !), I just remember that he saved 2 or 3 kids taken into hostage in a school (mediatisation, hold me...) and that he watches "Star Academy" (some kind of show between "X-Factor" and "Big Brother"). This poster on the left explains the current political mess in France.
Oh yeah, bad thing : he congratulated the new Polish president for his election and that's bad because he's homophobic. Feel free to add comments to teach me a bit more about Sarkozy (<-- desperately trying to fill in empty blog, please !)
What scares me the most, is that Le Pen gets elected. After the 21st of April, we are not sure of anything anymore.
A few minutes ago, on TV, the news presenter was mocking the French devise, Liberte, Egalite, Fraternite, that translates into : "Freedom, Equality, Brotherhood"...
